My Favorite Christmas Ornaments

Hi friends! I can’t believe Christmas has come and gone and New Years is only a few days away. Wish we could slow down time and really get to enjoy our days a little more. As I sit here looking at my (dying) Christmas tree already dreading having to take down all the ornaments, I find myself admiring all the beautiful pieces that dress up my tree in the most magical and festive way.

So, today, I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite ornaments, some of which you can still find in stores (and probably for a discounted price). I know some people that change the theme of their tree every year, which I think is totally crazy because ornaments can get very expensive. When Joey and I bought our first home, we had zero ornaments and Christmas decor. We probably spent about $500 between everything, but we chose a theme that we loved now and would love 10 years down the line. Our tree theme is very ‘evergreen’- it’s a timeless plaid theme with red accents. It’s a theme that really goes with the whole feel of our home; cozy and inviting. Each year, I add one or two new ornaments. Some purchased and some gifted, which makes it all the more special!

Looking towards the future, I hope that maybe some of my ornaments will be hung in my children’s and future grandchildren’s christmas tree and it will remind them of Joey & I. A timeless christmas tradition that started in our first home, during our first christmas as husband and wife!

I love the bearded lumberjack man! It’s an ornament from Target, but it reminds me so much of my husband, Joey. Those who know him, know he is as outdoors and manly as it gets!

This particular ornament is so dear to my heart. I bought two at Pottery Barn last year- one for me and one for my mom. It looks just like our dachshund Valentino!

This is a newbie to our tree. It was a gift from my mom this year and it lights up! Cutest hanging snowglobe there ever was. Thanks again, mom!

As most of you know, I am obsessed with Harry Potter… So, of course, I fell in love with this little owl the minute I saw it. It’s like my own little Hedwig (except it’s not a snow owl).

Do you have any cherished ornaments in your family? When you look at your tree, do you have precious pieces that take you back to a certain place and time? I’d love to hear all about!

Warmest Wishes this holiday season to you all!
