October is Coming!

My dear friend Lee Eachus (@neworldancer) at Huber’s Orchard & Winery pumpkin picking. So jelly! I am in  a corner doing just what his sweatshirt says— WEEPing.

While the rest of the United States enjoys the start of a new season— pumpkin spice latte’s, falling leaves, autumn breeze… Miami people are still sweating in the hot sun while Macy’s completely overlooks Halloween & Thanksgiving and brings out their best Christmas china. So, in light of my favorite season of all time, Autumn, I will posting photos of my friend who lives in Lexington, Kentucky and gets to do all these fun things we lack in Florida. I can see now why you moved back, darling. Basically, I am living vicariously through him and his white pumpkin right now. Do you know how hard it is to find a white pumpkin here in South Florida? It is as rare as seeing natural blonde around this town.

Seeing as though everyone seems to overlook this extraordinary, warm & cozy season— other than Bath and Body Works, of course— I decided to bring Autumn to my blog. Because as L.M. Montgomery once said in Anne of Green Gables, “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers”. Anyway, let’s talk about BABW for a minute. They do a pretty good job at giving Fall the attention it deserves with their vast selection of soaps, scented candles and such. This year, I have to say, I was a little disappointed with their selection of scented candles. I feel like they are trying to experiment too much with some of these options and it smells downright weird. I don’t understand why they can’t stick to what sells and bring back some of those incredibly wonderful scents they have long discontinued. I knew I should have bought off all 12 of those Cinnamon Sugared Doughnut candles left in stock at the store when I had the chance last year. Cry. Anyway, I leave you with a few favorites… including another fabulous photo from Lee. Thank you for allowing me to share this on my blog! XOX
