It’s no surprise to anyone that big wallets are slowly but surely becoming a thing of the past. To be honest, wallets are soooo 2008. In a time where we barely carry $20 ( in cash) with us, let alone change— the use of regular sized wallets has been slowly dying. More and more people have switched over to card holders or ‘money clips’.
I, for one, switched over to a card holder a few years ago, and although I still carried my Prada wallet with me, I found that I never pulled it out of my bag. EVER.
Currently, I’ve been sporting the Chanel Camellia-Embossed lambskin card holder in red. Click here for details. It’s very beautiful and elegant and extremely practical. It holds several of my credit cards and has a mid-section compartment where you can store more cards or even cash.
There are other options, which I think are lovely are well. Saint Laurent, for instance, has a beautiful card holder that comes in the classic black leather with the logo embossed in gold across the case, as seen pictured above. Currently, in comes in two colors: royal blue and black. Click here for more information.
Still not ready to let go of the wallet? Louis Vuitton offers exquisite alternatives, which I’d like to think are a hybrid between a wallet and a card case. Personally, I am all about the Mon Monogram pieces, which you can personally customize to your liking. Explore the collection right here.
The classic Brazza Wallet in the Monogram Canvas costs $605.00, while a custom monogrammed wallet will run you up around $870.00. So there you go! Let’s get trendy!
