L’Oréal kicked off the summer season and skin cancer awareness month in Miami by hosting a very exclusive VIP party at the ever-so-beautiful Mondrian South Beach Hotel, located in the heart of the city. A group of select women as well as celebrities like Lili Estefan, Ana Maria Canseco, and Real Housewives of Miami Lisa Hochstein and Marysol Patton also joined L’Oréal Paris and with Dr. Flor Mayoral to celebrate the It’s THAT Worth It campaign. The campaign is dedicated to help in the fight against melanoma by educating women of all ages about melanoma and creating products to help prevent it. It urges women of all races and cultures to prevent melanoma by using sunscreen and help save lives of many others by supporting cutting-edge research to find a cure.

Diane Keaton said, “I was diagnosed with skin cancer at age 21 but that is nothing compared to Melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, especially among women under 40. I hope you can join me in a nationwide effort to prevent this killer by visiting ItsTHATworthit.org.” And like her, many other well known stars have taken the time to speak out against this and educate women on the importance of maintaining a healthy habit of using sunscreen on a daily basis.

Overall, the event was absolutely spectacular and extremely informative. At times, we do not realize how great of an impact the sun might have on our skin, so it is of utmost importance to learn the different ways of looking out for yourself… Because the secret to maintaining a long, healthy life, starts with you.

Cheers to staying healthy. Because YOU’RE worth it.
